Born on May 25, 1968, in Yerevan.
In 1992 Mr. Vardanyan graduated with honors from the Economics Faculty at Lomonosov Moscow State University. He interned at Banca CRT in Italy, attended Merrill Lynch’s training courses on emerging markets in New York (1992), completed training at INSEAD (France, 2000), and attended courses at Harvard Business School (2001, 2005), as well as special programs at Yale University and Stanford University Graduate School of Business (2012, 2013).
From 2012 until July 2015 he was managing director of Sberbank CIB.
Since April 1, 2014 he has been president of LLC VARDANYAN, BROITMAN AND PARTNERS.
Mr. Vardanyan currently serves on the boards of directors at KAMAZ and Ameriabank (Armenia). He is a member of the advisory councils and boards of trustees at numerous public and professional organizations, higher education institutions and business schools in Russia and abroad, including the economic council of the International Finance Corporation (part of the World Bank Group).
He is a founding partner of Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO and was its first president
